Received my Eighth Major Research Project
Funded by Ministry of Earth Science (MoES)
Since I joined National College in 2011 this becomes my Eighth Major Research Project, with which I am the first to cross a milestone of 20 Million INR grant amount received by an individual on this campus. It is cumulative of grants received from various funding agencies like SERB, TNSCST, UGC, DST, and MoES.

INQUA 2019 Congress
Won Best Presentation award at the Prestigious INQUA 2019 Congress held at Dublin, Ireland.
Received INQUA and PAGES fellowship of 3000 Euros to present my research findings at the PALSEA 2019 workshop held at Trinity College, Dublin from 21st -23rd July and at the 20th INQUA Congress held at Dublin from 25th - 31st July 2019.

From Associate Professor to Assistant Professor...!
A blessing in disguise..!
A demotion from Associate professor to Assistant Professor, but elevated to a permanent aided position in the PG and Research Department of Botany, NCT.
I am always grateful to the Secretary and the Director of Studies (Former Principal) for this transition.
Again, more opportunities to prove and grow with the Botany department...!
2016-2017
Established Geobiotechnology Laboratory
With grants received from MoES, DST, and UGC a new facility to work on Geobiology aspects was established.
The Geobiotechnology Laboratory is well equipped for contemporary microbiology, molecular biology and bioinformatics research, and this is supplemented by conveniently located shared instrument facilities of the PG & Research Dept. of Biotechnology and the National College Instrumentation Facility (NCIF).

TNSCST Young Scientist Fellowship
Tamil Nadu State Council for Science & Technology
Recipient of TNSCST Young Scientist Fellowship in 2015. Have also received a Science and Technology Project from TNSCST (2013-2015) to work on "Biorestoration of textile effluent polluted soil through Vermistabilization"
2012-2015
Young Scientist Award
Received a Grant of 2.68 Million INR
Department of Science and Technology (DST), Science Engineering and Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India sanctioned the Young Scientist Award to pursue a major research project on Advanced oxidation process and microbial treatment for toxicity- free textile effluent disposal​.
